Four more Bersih supporters detained:

Police detained four more participants of the April 28 opposition-backed rally, bringing to 16 the number of people, whose photographs were distributed via the media, arrested by the police until today.

An officer at the Kuala Lumpur Criminal Investigation Department (CID) ASP Azmi Aziz, when contacted by Bernama, said the four participants, aged between 20 and 50, were detained at separate locations in Penang, Seremban and Batu Pahat.

They were now detained at the Dang Wangi police station for investigations into the alleged involvement in the violent rally, he added.

Kuala Lumpur CID head Ku Chin Wah confirmed the arrest, but declined to elaborate.

The police have released 141 photographs of the rally participants through the media where out of the 16 arrested so far, eight of them had been charged.
